T&H Lemont Reaches Quality Assurance Milestone
The company’s quality management system has provided a solid year with no defects, rejects or recalls.
T&H Lemont’s Contract Machining Division passed a one-year milestone in January, marking a full year with zero defects in fulfilling a Big Three automotive contract. After completing the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), T&H Lemont became the sole supplier for this component, producing 100,000 parts annually.
The company says its quality management system, which controls all aspects of receiving, material handling, product planning, machining, quality assurance and shipping, has provided a solid year with no defects, rejects or recalls.
T&H Lemont’s Contract Machining Division, launched in 1997, is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and supports its customers’ compliance with IATF 16949. It specializes in hard turning and milling in high-volume applications, supplying wear-resistant parts for applications such as automotive powertrains, small engines, pumps and compressors. According to T&H Lemont, the company’s streamlined bureaucracy facilitates short-notice production requests and expedited shipments for its customers.
