Haimer offers two new solutions for shrink fit processes, the compact Power Clamp Air i4.0 and the Nano NG i4.0. The Power Clamp Air i4.0 enables a particularly even and clean cooling for various shrink-fit chucks and collets, regardless of the outside contour, using air nozzles. Therefore, no dirt and water residue is left behind. The Power Clamp Nano NG i4.0 was developed for shrink-fit collets and small toolholders up to size HSK-A63. The shrinking process is horizontal, with a fully automated motor coil and air-cooling system.
The company also offers its Duo-Locks modular cutting tool system, which it says maximizes a carbide tool’s productivity in roughing and finishing applications. The system provides high load capacity and rigidity when machining at high metal removal rates. In addition, the new Duo-Lock ER collets enable fast tool changes in turning equipment and line-driven tools with high Z-axis repeatability. Tool changes happen within 30 seconds, which reduces machine downtime.
