Dillon Manufacturing’s Claw Jaws have an optimized contour which is said to provide a secure grip on the workpiece, and the jaws’ weight, center of gravity and cutting forces combine to minimize jaw clamping force loss, the company says.
The company says the jaws are designed to bite into the workpiece, providing increased holding power during turning operations. Manufactured from 8620 steel for durability and long service life, it is said this product range is well suited for ID, OD and bar clamping applications.
The system is available for most chuck brands and is well suited for turning applications in any industry. Optional rest buttons enable setting up different clamping depths. Enhanced productivity and long service life are said to combine to reduce tooling costs.
