Coolant-Through Holders for Precise, Versatile Small Parts Machining
PMTS 2023: Kyocera’s line of jet coolant-through holders (JCTM) provides operator with tooling options that can perform well in a larger variety of setups.

Kyocera has engineered a versatile line of jet coolant-through holders (JCTM) that connect directly to the turret’s internal coolant channel from the back which means they require fewer piping attachments. If the machine does not support this type of coolant, the operator can still take advantage of the holder’s coolant-through technology by connecting conventional piping to the front.
These direct coolant holders for small parts machining are applicable for different supply styles, supporting internal coolant with/without a piping system in a wide range of machines. The lineup includes turning, grooving (kgbf), and cut-off (kgd/ktkf) holders for various tooling operations. The company says these holders offer superior chip control and long tool life, and feature Kyocera’s high-performance insert graded.
The series provides operator with tooling options that can perform well in a larger variety of setups and machines which can make a machinist’s life much easier. The holders can provide precise coolant at the right location. These high-pressure coolant-through holders not only improve edge wear but the concentrated coolant streams also assist in breaking and directing chips that can quickly entangle and ruin a part.
